What feels alive for you?

Digital drawing
2025

This digital drawing was a meditation on connection to one’s self. My therapist often asks me this question, ‘What feels alive for you?’ Usually, I’m stumped.

This drawing is the culmination of a series of collected images and photographs organized under the same name – What feels alive for you?

This exercise curated the assorted ephemera of the year into moments in which I am most grateful for, the moments of aliveness.

Study: The Magical Fortune-Telling Fish

Mixed Media Drawing
2025

This piece was a preparatory sketch for a longer study of the divination game, the Magic Fortune-Telling Fish. In this game, the fish divines the reader’s future in the various ways that the fish moves in her palm.

What interests me about this study, is that divination and fate have acted as decision-making tools for a long time, historically, and this child’s toy is another vehicle to continue that theme.

Derrida remixed

Photoshop Mockup
2024
This project reimagined Jacques Derrida’s 1967 de la Minuit editions book cover of De la Grammatologiewith deconstructed ellipses to signify the phillosopher’s contribution to the field of critical theory of the idea of linguistic deconstruction. The modulated shapes are meant to convey this idea by deconstructing their intended shape (signifié) into a modulated ellipse.
